[Recreation-announce] To the Parents of West Walton Park from West Walton Little League Boosters

Parents of West Walton Park, 

I know everyone is happy to see the games start this week.  Thankfully, the temperatures are conducive to this earlier start this year.  I hope everyone enjoys this season and spending time with your kids. 
  
As you know, every team is required to have at least one sign sponsorship.  Please obtain more if possible.   Thank you to those who have already submitted.   For those of you who have not done so...please do so quickly so we can make the sign and hang on the outfield fences to advertise for our sponsors as long as possible.  If any of you are having trouble obtaining a sponsor, we have many old signs that business' can renew for $125.  We can provide a list of names and numbers to make it easy for you.   


West Walton Day is Saturday, April 18th. 
On this day, we are closing Field 2 to set up a Moonwalk, Giant slide and an Obstacle course for our kids to enjoy.   We are also having Pony rides.  These will be available from 9:00 AM - 4:30PM 
This is also the date we are serving our BBQ plates.  Our BBQ supplier will have 2 serving stations with serving hours of 10:00 - 2:00.   With longer serving hours and 2 serving stations, we should be able to distribute plates very efficiently with very little wait.   The BBQ supplier is Dave Burleson.  Many of you have experienced Dave's BBQ at the Loganville High School events......very good. 


Your team pictures will be distributed when you return your team's BBQ money.  We have established two dates for Team Moms (or a team representative) to return BBQ money and pick up pictures at Meridian Gym.  Dates are as follows:   
Thursday, April  9th          5pm-7pm 
Monday, April  13th           5pm-7pm 

Please have your BBQ money returned to your team mom as soon as possible so she can meet these dates. 


Team Action DVDs 
The date for requesting your team's DVD has been extended to this Friday, March 20th.  This is an outstanding trophy for memories for both parents and kids.   Many teams give these DVDs in conjunction with the trophy at the year end team party.   
  

Most of you know by now that we now have our own Board for West Walton Park.  The Board consists of 17 parents/coaches from OUR park who want to better OUR park.   100% of OUR  proceeds from OUR functions will be allocated to OUR  park.
